Last night, Rich surprised me with tickets to Yo La Tengo. Yo La Tengo is one of my favourite bands ever, along with Wilco and Mogwai.

When Rich and I first started dating, he made me a mix cd and one of the tracks was a Yo La Tengo song. It was called Little Eyes. He said the song reminded him of me. You can listen to it here, I think the title says it all.

Over the years, we’ve listened to this band together, danced along to it and even played Yo La Tengo at our wedding. Last night was a sweet reminder of the good times we’ve shared while listening to their music. This is me with the vocalist, Ira Kaplan. Good stuff.
