Heya! Some pictures from Sunday Best! You can view more at Little Mo’s fan page!
It was a great day and I met so many wonderful sellers and new friends.

This is Tim from Four Wooden Corners. It was Father’s day but that didn’t stop Tim and his dad from joining Sunday Best! It was so cool to see another paper goods seller!

My friend Ali J who draws cool fashion illustrations!

christine

I bought a cute vintage Golliwog card from my neighbour Christine. Her set up was so gorgeous, it put me to shame! I also bought a lovely bar of salt scrub from the talented Jacquie of empire of delight and some awesome art from the made of awesome gang. I now have a drawer full of great art prints! Thanks guys!

And here’s Little Mo’s stall, which is not little anymore because it’s been growing with new paper goods. I really need to work on getting better displays to organise my products! So for now, enjoy the colourful pictures!

Custom postcard illustration for kirsten

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

Busy week!

kirsten postcards

I just finished a custom postcard illustration for Kirsten from Paper by Forget Me Not. Kirsten is a stationery maker like myself and she also uses recyclable materials. Which is cool for me…and you! Check out her stationery products, my favourite item is the tutti fruitti stationery set.

Kirsten wanted something fun to include in her packages. So I designed some postcards for her. She can fold these into note cards and write her thank you messages in them. You can see more pictures here.

I have drawn Kirsten sitting amongst the blue forget me nots with one of her pink journals. The image came straight to me at the drawing board because personally, I would love to sit under a tree surrounded by flowers! Kirsten has curly brown hair in real life and you can see her photo in her madeit interview. She’s really beautiful, and I just hope that my drawing shows it off!

See us at Perth Upmarket

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Hello sorry for the lack of postings!

We did Sunday Best last weekend, and it was so fun. Expect to see some pictures soon! Thank you to everyone who came over with well wishes, and who went home with Little Mo goodies, you’re simply the best! If you didn’t make it to our stall, we’re doing another market at UPMARKET this coming Sunday. Here are the details:

Sunday, 13th September
10am -4pm, Perth Town Hall

Cnr Barrack St and Hay St, Perth

perth upmarket

This is my first time doing Upmarket and I’ve heard alot of great things about this designer market so I’m really honoured to be included with the rest of the talented crew. Come check us out, and buy handmade!

After Upmarket, I will be taking a break to work on new artworks. I plan on producing art prints and some one off illustrations. I will also be occupied with house hunting and the wedding. My online presence may be a little quiet but I am here, reading your blogs and drawing and drawing. So thanks for keeping me sane. xxx

All packed up

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

3 more days till Sunday Best and I have been packaging my stationery. Today I rounded my new postcards, made some labels and popped them into sleeves. These are my ‘Beautiful Day’ collection. They are available in my shop.

Beautiful day cards

Later in the night I made more recycled paper bags for the market because they tend to run out quite fast. I managed to use up all my paper scraps so it feels good de-cluttering and recycling!

Recycled paper bags

On another note, we have been looking for a place to move into before our wedding, which means after the markets I’ll be packing other stuff! The past 9 years I feel like I’ve been moving from one place to another.

Everything that I own resides in boxes that remain taped up. And every time I travel across the ocean or some place new, these boxes travel with me. I want to look forward to that moment when I don’t have to worry about lugging boxes around anymore!
